- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for proposal and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation available at this time. This is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice. Military Sealift Command (MSC) is seeking eligible vendors to provide a barge to lodge between 250 to 300 personnel in port on the West Coast of the United States for an estimated 65 to 100 days. The estimated start date will be on or about 1 June 2018. The Contractor barge shall provide multiple rooms (at least two) one for males and one for females. Also provide between 15 - 30 single occupancy rooms. The barge must be livable and provide hot and cold running water for showering and commodes. Please advise if the barge will allow for cooking meals. The barge will need to remain pier side at a non Navy port on the West Coast. The Contractor shall provide each authorized member staying on the barge beds, linen and the ability to shower and toiletries services. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 488310. Both large and small business concerns are encouraged to respond to this notice. It is requested that interested businesses submit a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to provide the required services. Submission of a capabilities package is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Government in tailoring the requirement to be consistent with industry.
