Description

NOTICE TO DREDGE CONTRACTORS - HOPPER DREDGE RENTAL NEW REQUIREMENT TO BE DISCUSSED AT MISSISSIPPI RIVER FORUM A discussion of new requirements for a mechanical ullage system will be presented at the Mississippi River Forum meeting on 4 April 2018. The Forum meeting will be held in DARM A in the New Orleans District Headquarters building at 0900 hours. It is anticipated that the new requirements will be included in hopper dredge solicitations that are advertised within the New Orleans District. The purpose of the mechanical ullage system (Nivobob sensors) will be to measure and report through DQM the ullage measurements for each load. This requirement will be used primarily for R&D of the dredged material in South West Pass. A draft copy of the mechanical ullage system specification section is included as an attached to this notice for reference.
