- This is a sources sought notice for the purposes of market research as described in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, this is not a request for quotations or offers. Information is requested from potential suppliers for the purposes of development of purchase descriptions and identification of potential sources. Information received in response to this notice may be used by the Government for the purposes of acquisition planning and small business set-aside decisions as described in FAR Part 19. Responses to this notice to not pre-qualify companies for any resulting solicitation. The Government will not reimburse costs associated with responding to this notice. The Florida Army National Guard requires the purchase of metal shelving and contemplates purchase of a total quantity of 90 shelving units similar to Mfr. Model # ERZ782478W-4. In order to be considered the units must be between 77-90 inches High, 72-77 inches Wide, and 24-30 inches Deep. There should be four adjustable, shelves with a per shelf weight capacity of 2000 pounds. Shelves should be wire or alternative material. The unit should be powder coated or similar. In response to this notice, prospective suppliers should include a statement indicating if they would offer the above name product or a similar product and provide information about the similar product in the form of literature or an internet link for product information. Include the country of origin for the product that would be offered in response to a solicitation. Prospective suppliers should also include their business size status for NAICS 337215. The small business size standard is 500 employees. In order to meet the requirements of a small business set-aside, a contractor would need to meet the requirements of FAR clause 52.219-6 and agree to furnish, "in performing the contract, only end items manufactured or produced by small business concerns in the United States or its outlying areas. If this procurement is processed under simplified acquisition procedures and the total amount of this contract does not exceed $25,000, a small business concern may furnish the product of any domestic firm."
