Description

Under Statutory Authority § 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), the Government anticipates entering into sole source procurement with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, Inc. of Newark, DE for preventative maintenance and repair services for a base period of performance of 12 months and three 12-month option periods for the following chemistry, immunochemistry, and processing equipment: Dimension Vista 1500, Dimension Vista 500, Advia Centaur XP, Immulite 2000 XPi, Viva E, Syngo Server, StreamLab Core Unit and Track, StreamLab Centrifuge 5680, StreamLab Refrigerated Storage Modules, and StreamLab Tube Sealer. The aforemention equipment is located across the VISN in the following locations: Chicago, IL, North Chicago, IL, Hines, IL, Rockford, IL, Crown Point, IN, Milwaukee, WI, Green Bay, WI, Appleton, WI, Madison, WI, Tomah, WI and Iron Mountain, MI. The above authority is citied and justification made based upon the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source. The requested preventative maintenance and repair services are available from only one source. This announcement is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 and FAR 13.106-1(b). Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by March 29th, 2018, 3:00 PM CST. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all interest received on or before March 29th, 2018 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.
