Page 1 of 1 This pre-solicitation notice is to inform potential bidders that the VA Medical Center in Buffalo, NY is intending to post an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or about April 10, 2018 to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to replace the roofs on floor 3 and 11A at the Buffalo, NY VA Medical Center. It is anticipated that approximately 700 linear feet of roof flashing containing asbestos will be encountered. Removal will be included in the solicitation. Design drawings and specifications will be provided in the IFB. It has been determined that there are sufficient, qualified SDVOSB firms in accordance with Public Law 109-461 that are capable of performing under NAICS Code 238160, "Roofing Contractors", with a size standard of $15.0M. Therefore this procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The estimated magnitude of the construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Information regarding a site visit will be stated in the Solicitation. A 20% Bid Bond will be required to respond to this IFB once released. Performance and Payment bonds will be required from the successful awardee. Any Prime Contractor interested in bidding on this project should email the Contracting Officer or register as an interested bidder as indicated below: Davidm.Esmay@va.gov OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIAL Solicitation materials consisting of the Information for Bid Details, Specifications and Drawings will be available on http://www.fedbizopps.gov in electronic format only. These should be available on or about April 18, 2018. All interested parties (subs & primes) should register at http://www.fedbizopps.gov as an "Interested Vendor" so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement. A Bidder's mailing list, list of interested parties and/or list of attendees at site visits WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. By registering to "Add to Watch List"; you will be notified by of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. No other notification of amendments will be provided. Offerors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of bids.
