Description
Questions to Industry following the 13 March 2018 Industry Day -UPDATE 27 MARCH 2018- The attached document "Mk21A_RFI 2_Industry Day Questions To Industry," includes questions posed during the 13 March Industry Day. Responses are requested due by 4:00 PM MST on 3 April 2018 per the attached instructions. Please contact the primary POC above if a later subission date is needed. Of Note: First, the NAICS has been updated from 541330 to 541715. Second, the governments' intent is to update the draft SOW based on comments received and then allow interested parties to schedule a block of time review an updated SRD then meet with the Mk21A program team for a SOW and SRD "deep dive." The government intents to limit this future interaction with perspective prime contractors for the subject acquisition. The document "deep dives" are intended to increase contractor understanding of the requirement and for the government to further clarify and bound the requirement as applicable. There will be a separate and future FBO posting wherein industry (potential primes) may request a "deep dive" review. Lastly, as noted above, the government intends to continue market research interactions with potential primes for the subject effort. Please respond to the first question in the attached RFI (due 3 April) stating what role you intend to pursue. The name of each company seeking a prime role and a point of contact for each will be provided in a following posting to encourage subcontracting opportunities for the program.
