- This attachment contains a brief description of the event, additional Points of Contact, agendas for both days, registration fees and other information. The purpose of this amendment is to include the Registration Notice attachment. This attachment gives a brief description of the event, registration fees and other important information regarding the Industry Day. This amendment also revises the Point of Contact for this posting. The Rhode Island Chapter of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) is pleased to announce that the 2018 NCMA RI Industry Day, will be held May 29 and 30, 2018 at the Atlantic Resort, Middletown, RI. The focus of this premier event will be to increase competition among contractors. This year's presentations will cover Naval Undersea Warfare Center - Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) technical program information, and long-range plans and strategies, highlighting near terms procurement requirements as well as new initiatives to address future technical, budgetary, and performance challenges. This gives businesses insight into potential government projects, as well as giving agencies the opportunity to expand their base of high quality suppliers and to promote expanded contracting opportunities. •· Each department will provide a 2-year forecast of anticipated procurements •· Presenters will remain at the Industry Day for the entire day •· Attendees will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with Department Heads (or designee), and Technical Department Acquisition Advocates after their presentations Registration, agenda, speakers, and additional information, will be posted to: http://www.ncma-ri.org. The RI Chapter has supported the contract professionals in the local community and at NUWC over the past 34 years, including sponsoring a NUWC Industry Day/Business Conference every 2-3 years since the 1980s, supporting NUWC SDVOSB events annually, and providing training opportunities for contractor and NUWCDIVNPT contract professionals. NCMA has more than 20,000 industry and government members nationwide. The Rhode Island Chapter has close to 300 members, including individuals from NUWC support contractors as well as NUWC Code 02.
