WI 12; Superstructure BHD 44, Preserve Q: Can the contractor work on a barge moored alongside the vessel? Answer: This WI should be SSPC SP-11 and SSPC SP-03, no blasting. This revision to the spec should be able to be completed with scaffolding. Quote Due Date remains Mar 28, 2018 1:00 pm Est. The SF30 form must be signed/submitted as per "Required Documents". ______________________________________ Amendment A00001 Posted 03/22/2018 The amendment is issued for the following; 1) Extend the Quote Due Date from 3/21/2018 to 3/28/2018 due to a specification revision. 2) Attachment 2, Scope of Work, see "REVISIONS RECORD" page for changes (attached). 3) Provide amplifying information on the Pier Load Restriction (attached). 4) Extend the Questions Due Date to 3/23/2018. PLEASE NOTE: QUOTES THAT DO NOT INCLUDE ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS MAY BE CONSIDERED INCOMPLETE AND MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR AWARD This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, Part 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items, with the elements of Part 15 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is used as a Request for Quote (RFQ) under number 70Z08518QP4540600. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-97, effective January 25, 2018. This is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code applicable to this procurement is 336611 with a size standard of 1250 employees for the requirement. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis. To receive an award, the Contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov. PIER RESTRICTIONS: Base Charleston has put into effect new pier restrictions. These new restrictions do NOT allow contractor to park vehicles, CONEX boxes, or other equipment and materials on the pier. Contractor will be required to utilize a lay-down area off the pier. See ATTACHMENT 6, Base Charleston Lay-down Area. Contractors are encouraged to conduct a ship check or submit a request for clarification for additional information regarding this restriction. FLETC BASE SECURITY: Contractor shall contact the designated Contracting Officer's representative or the Port Engineer upon contract award to obtain FLETC Security Base Access requirements. The Contractor shall note that it can take up to one month for FLETC Security to process documentation related to Base Access. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to comply with FLETC Base Security measures. It is essential that the base access process begins immediately upon award. Any delays or denied access request will be the sole responsibility of the contractor, not the government. FLETC Security will not grant access to individuals who have not registered with Selective Service, and are required to do so. See "Security Requirements" section below for additional information.
