- Amendment No. 1 corrects NAICS code. See Below) All else remains the same. R6 Contracting North intends to award a base plus options contract for the removal and installation of (2) engine and (2) two transmission for a 34 foot aluminum hull boat (Stormy) for the Chelan Ranger District, Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The Boat currently has (2) two Cummins 6BTA 5.9M engines, 2 ZF transmissions in a Vee drive configuration. (See Attachment A - Schedule of Items) All bidders can schedule an appointment to inspect the existing boat by calling Paul Willard, Chelan Ranger District Resource Assistant, at 509-682-4960. Photos are the boat are attached (See Attachment B - Photos) Payment will be made after completion and acceptance of equipment. A single award will be made for all item. Contractors must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) database for award. Contractors who are not currently registered or must re-activate their accounts are encouraged to do so they can be considered for award. Contractors shall note that as a Federal Agency, we do not pay state or local sales tax. PROJECT DESCRIPTION Remove: (2) two engines (one Cummins 6BTA 5.9M SN. 44256532 and one Cummins 6BTA 5.9M, SN. 44256531) and (2) two ZF transmission. Install: (2) Two Cummins ReCon engines or equivalent from the list of options items below. The Forest Service will select one engine option for award. • Engines must have a 2 yr, 2,000 hr warranty, engine mounts, instrument panel for the helm, wiring harness, and other industry standard incidental parts for typical reconditioned engine installation. • Install requires removal of current engines/transmissions and installation of new reconditioned engines and new transmissions and all necessary wiring, controls, and instrument clusters. Boat will be in Lake Chelan. • Install requires Sea Trail to ensure engines and transmissions are functioning properly. • Install will/may require reconfiguring engine/transmission mounts and Vee drive as needed to fit new engines/transmissions in Vee drive configuration as well as all necessary wiring, controls, and instrument clusters. • Boat shall have a cruise speed of 25 MPH with new engines/transmissions. • Engines shall have block and or crankcase heaters. Other Requirements: • Contractor shall be a welded aluminum boat operator • Contractor shall have been in business a minimum of 5 years • All welding shall be performed in accordance with American Welding Society D1.2-2003 • Contractor must have a minimum of (5) references for welded aluminum boats used by government agencies. References shall include contact name, phone number, and email. (See Attachment C for ) Quotes will be evaluated as described in FAR 52.212.2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items (See Attachment C). COMPLETION DATE: July 1, 2018 PROJECT LOCATION, POINT OF ACCEPTANCE: Boat is located at USFS 25 Mile Creek Guard Station dock. The boat is in Lake Chelan, WA. Directions to 25 Mile Creek Guard Station from Chelan, WA.
