Description
This Sources Sought Notice is being published for the purpose of conducting Market Research to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. This is not a solicitation. All costs associated with providing information, as requested by this Sources Sought Notice, shall be the responsibility of the submitter. Submission is voluntary. This requirement is for: Agilent 5110 VDV ICP OES UMESC has embarked on multiple studies with chemicals such as potassium chloride, Earthtec QZ, Ziram to control multiple invasive species and nutrients in sediment and soil. Those studies are time sensitive and need an instrument which can complete the multi analysis in a timely manner, has minimum maintenance and down time and minimum user to user error, and minimum gas consumption for operational cost saving. Specific minimum needs include: a. Simultaneously performs determination across the entire spectrum, both UV and visible, in a single measurement on a single detector and all wavelengths in one analytical reading, is capable of completing the necessary analysis in a timely manner. a.Minimal mounting/adjustments to the equipment to eliminate user to user error. b.A fixed injector which does not require any mechanical adjustments or positioning c.Requires no gas consumption for purging reducing argon usage. d.Dashboard to monitor the instrument ™s performance in the laboratory environment which minimizes downtime and helps to troubleshoot unexpected environmental changes which can adversely affect the analysis results. Interested firms who feel that they can provide an equal instrument other than Agilent 5110 VDV ICP OES based upon the criteria specified herein, are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcement. An affirmative response must include all specifications, manufacturer, Spec sheets, references with contact names, email address, and phone numbers. These references are to be for contracts similar in scope as the contract under consideration. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. All responses must be submitted NLT 03/30/2018 at 1 pm MST via e-mail to: cmetherd@usgs.gov. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB) and does not constitute any commitment by the Government. Responses to this sources sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this market survey. Any solicitation that may be issued will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (Fedbizopps.gov) website and no paper copies will be provided.
