- Sources Sought Synopsis with Contractor Capability Survey SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS F-15E Flat Panel Up Front Control NSN: 5985-01-530-1899 NSN Part Number Noun 5985-01-530-1899 A05A0249 Flat Panel Up Front Control PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION The USAF is conducting market research to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for redesign of the FPUFC. The acquisition strategy is a 48 month period of performance. The effort is to redesign the FPUFC, build four prototypes and a complete technical data package for the part. The FPUFC controls the functions of the communication radio and inertial navigation identification equipment. Control of the functions consists of function selection, option selection, and keyboard switches and providing alphanumeric display windows for option and scratchpad readouts. The FPUFC interfaces with the Avionics Status Panel, Signal Data Converter Set, Wide Field-Of-View Head-Up Display, and the Integrated Communications Navigation Identification Control Panels. The Government possesses drawings containing performance specifications and parameters. The Government will provide a list of applicable drawings found in the Joint Engineering Data Management Information System (JEDMICS). The Contractor shall be capable of furnishing all required labor, material, facilities and equipment to accomplish the redesign, prototype construction, test, packing, preservation and packaging, and return to the government in a completely serviceable/like new condition at the unit prices established at the time of a contract award. The Contractor shall be responsible for recurring and nonrecurring engineering services associated with becoming a qualified source. The Contractor shall be responsible for supply chain management, logistics, forecasting of parts, long-lead parts procurement, reparable forecasting, obsolescence issues and delivery of serviceable assets.
