Description
Under section 2 can you elaborate on section A? We are not familiar with UN Class 1.1 ammunitions and would appreciate your input. Information on UN Class 1.1 ammunition/explosives is readily available online. The PWS's intrinsically safe requirement in 2.a means that design considerations should be made with the understanding that the chamber will be used to test ammunition/explosives up to the specified classification level. There is no hard NEC explosion proof requirement because there will be no gases/vapors, dusts or fibers present in the test compartment. However, any circuit that is present or exposed in any capacity within the test compartment should comply with requirements specified in NFPA 70, Article 504: Intrinsically Safe Systems. Under section 2 D can the window be secured as part of the Hasp mechanism? Yes. However, no chamber component should necessarily rely on the hasp to latch (i.e. hasp doesn't need to be secured in order for chamber to be operational). Under Section 5 we are not familiar with IAW specs and cannot seem to locate them. Can you supply the verbiage or more information regarding IAW 11.2.d? IAW is an acronym for 'in accordance with,' which is written out earlier in the document. This part is referring back to requirements in II.2.d of the PWS. It should actually read III.2.d
