Description: Sources Sought Synopsis with Contractor Capability Survey SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS Lock Aircraft Ground (Lock A/C Groundsafety, Elavator) (NSN 1730-01-497-3330) CAUTION: This market survey is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the Lock Aircraft Ground (Lock A/C Groundsafety, Elavator) for use by United States Air Force (USAF) personnel. The level of security clearance and amount of foreign participation in this requirement has not been determined. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. <h4 style="MARGIN-LEFT: 23pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 13.7pt; punctuation-wrap: simple; mso-line-break-override: restrictions; mso-line-height-rule: exactly"> PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the production data/repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements for the production/repair of Lock Aircraft Ground (Lock A/C Groundsafety, Elavator) NSN: 1730-01-497-3330 for USAF personnel. This is a build to print acquisition. Our acquisition strategy is a 4-year contract (basic plus three option years) and will continue through FY22, the requirement will also require a first article, first article test plan, and first article test report. The projected quantities will be a basic quantity of 9 with three option perionds of 2 ea. THE LOCK IS INTENDED TO BE INSTALLED WHEN WORK IS BEING PERFORMED ON THE ELEVATOR SYSTEM UPSTREAM OF THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL VALVE. WHEN WORKING DOWNSTREAM OF THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL VALVE ALL HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS SHALL BE DEPRESSURIZED, ALL HYDRAULIC PUMP CIRCUIT BREAKERS SHALL BE PULLED AND TAGGED, AND THE ELEVATOR TRIM CIRCUIT BREAKERS SHALL BE PULLED AND TAGGED. The Lock Aircraft Ground (Lock A/C Groundsafety, Elavator) should be fabricated IAW with referenced drawings. A drawing package is available will be available at time of solicitation. Multiple Sources Sought Synopsis are being posted to FBO for other NSNs for C-17 Support Equipment. Results from these sources sought synopsis may be used to combine similar requirements in an attempt to leverage economy of scale.
