- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 16 (NCO 16) intends to award a sole source contract award to Toshiba Medical Systems, 2441 Michelle Drive, Tustin, CA 92780. The Period of Performance for Contract Award will be April 1, 2018 through September 30, 2018 with four 12-month option periods. This requirement is for full maintenance and repair services, to include preventive maintenance inspections, on the following equipment: Mfg. Item Model Site # Location PM # Toshiba CT Scanner Aquilion 64 292391 1D139-1-JAC 44887 Services shall be performed during the VA normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Government holidays. Equipment located at VA Medical Center, 790 Veterans Way, Pensacola, FL 32507. Toshiba America Medical Systems is the sole provider, and since the software/hardware is proprietary, Toshiba America Medical System, is the only available source for this service. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by March 29, 2018, 12:00 p.m. CST. Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to rene.impey@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
