- This is the compliance matrix that Contractor needs to complete and submit in EXCEL with its response to this Notice. DESCRIPTION: MARKET SURVEY AND QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS' LIST DEVELOPMENT - SOURCES SOUGHT REQUEST FOR APPLE MAC MANAGEMENT SOLUTION. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is to gain information about qualified industry sources that can provide Apple Mac Management solution. The U.S. Senate Sergeant At Arms (SAA) is seeking information from the vendor community on a solution for the management of Mac computers including the ability to deploy new computers, manage settings, and deploy software to computers running versions of OS X and macOS. Responses to this SSN will assist the SAA in the review of current solutions offered in the marketplace for Apple Mac management. The SAA requests responses that detail solutions that: 1) meet or exceed the requirements set forth herein, and 2) provide a full description of services offered, methods of implementation, and scope of the solution. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This SSN is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This SSN does not commit the SAA to contract for any supply of product or service whatsoever. Further, neither the Senate nor SAA seek proposals at this time; will not accept unsolicited proposals; will not pay for any costs incurred in responding to this SSN. All costs associated with responding to this SSN will be solely at the interested party's expense. If the SAA releases a request for proposal, it will be synopsized at the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of the potential Offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. All requirements listed below are mandatory for the solution offered unless otherwise noted. All questions below require a response. This synopsis contains the currently available information and is subject to change at any time. REQUIREMENTS: The responses to this SSN shall provide a clear and concise description of the Solution's response and/or answer to each requirement below. A. FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS The key functional requirements under consideration for the Apple Mac Management Solution include, but are not limited to, those listed on ATTACHMENT A: CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS. See Excel Worksheet attached to this Notice. B. TECHNICAL QUESTIONS 1) COOP and DR The Apple Mac Management Solution must include Continuity of Operations and Disaster Recovery. The response shall describe how the solution performs Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery (DR). 2) LICENSING The Apple Mac Management Solution must describe the Licensing models. 3) SUSTAINABILITY/LIFECYCLE: a. How often do you release new major (x.0), minor (1.x) and revision (1.0.x) versions? b. How do you notify customers of new releases and critical updates? C. Apple Mac Management Solution offered must be in accordance with the following: 1)Must be COTS solutions. 2)Respondents must be the COTS solution provider/vendor. Responses submitted by VARs or third party integrators will not be considered. 3)Responses must be based on the solution's current, out-of-the-box, configurable capabilities. Custom or uniquely customized products or solutions will not be considered. 4)Planned or future product enhancements for the COTS solution will not be considered when evaluating responses. The information contained in this notice will be the only information provided by the SAA during the Sources Sought process. All qualified sources should respond to this notice by submitting an information package in accordance with the instructions provided. Contractors responding to this notice and deemed qualified by the SAA may be requested to submit a proposal in response to a solicitation. SOURCES SELECTION QUALIFICATION PROCESS: a.Only responses that answer directly each of the REQUIREMENTS above and are compliant to the INSTRUCTIONS below will be included for consideration of the responses to this SSN. b.Solutions selected to proceed to a second round of procurement consideration, if any, by the SAA must be prepared to discuss in detail and demonstrate their stated capabilities relative to some or all listed requirements on ATTACHMENT A: CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS (see Section A) and TECHNICAL QUESTIONS (Section B). The SAA will announce those selected vendors for the second round of procurement in a posting at FEDBIZOPPS. The date and Senate facility location where the presentations and/or demonstrations will take place as part of the second round of procurement should there be any will be coordinated with each selected vendor directly. c.Solutions selected to move to the third round of procurement evaluations, if any, by the SAA will participate in a Senate hosted Proof of Concept test. INSTRUCTIONS: The Responses must include the following: 1.Business Information: a.Name of company/organization including a brief, concise company description and history; b.Company street address, city, state, and zip code, telephone and FAX numbers, DUNS, and EIN; c.Point of contact (POC), telephone number, fax number, and email address for this SSN response. 2.A narrative addressing briefly and concisely Section A. FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS and each item under Section B. TEHCNICAL QUESTIONS. 3.Completed ATTACHMENT A: CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are due no later than Tuesday April 17, 2018, and shall be emailed to acquisitions@saa.senate.gov, to the attention of Cora Carag. The subject line of the email message shall be: "SSN-2018-S-039 Apple Mac Management Solution." No other method of transmittal shall be accepted. The response shall not exceed twenty (20) pages including the cover page, transmittal letter, table of contents and others, not including completed ATTACHMENT A: CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS. Unnecessarily elaborate submissions are discouraged and may be excluded from consideration. Pages over the page limitation may be discarded, and, thus, incomplete responses may be excluded for consideration. Access by the SAA to information in any files attached to the response is the responsibility of the submitting party. Neither the SAA nor the Senate is responsible for any failure to access vendor's attachments and/or information. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES THE ENTIRE SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND THE ONLY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE SAA OR SENATE.
