- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY, NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED AS SUCH. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this notice, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purpose only and will not be released. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses. Potential sources must demonstrate experience and knowledge of required equipment, services and capability to provide said equipment and service. REQUIREMENT: 1. Background. The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VAMC Community Living Center is requesting the procurement of 75 medical beds and their associated parts detailed in the Scope and Specific Tasks identified below. 2. Scope. The medical center requires 75 medical beds as described below. Cost savings associated with current medical bed trade-ins shall be considered when evaluating submittals. Warranty for top and bottom covers of 2 years Warranty for internal component of mattress of 5 years Clinical User Training: The offeror shall provide 3 days of clinical user training. The training shall occur during the designated shifts and times decided upon after procurement award. The training materials shall be provided in electronic and paper form. The training shall be completed at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center. The offeror shall allow for clinical super users, identified before training begins, to work in conjunction with Biomedical Engineering to choose the alarm tones. Technical Service Training: The training shall be completed at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center. The offeror shall provide 4 designated technicians training for 1 day. Training shall include all service and maintenance procedures for maintaining the Medical Beds. The offeror shall provide documentation and manuals electronically as appropriate for maintaining the equipment. 4. Delivery/Installation and Assembly The vendor shall provide all procured equipment within 90 days after receipt of order. The first delivery shall be within 60 days of award. The equipment shall have the purchase order (PO) number easily identifiable on the shipping labels. The vendor shall coordinate the delivery with Biomedical Engineering, Logistics and Nursing Service at the Medical Center. The equipment shall be delivered in three (3) separate deliveries of 25 beds with one (1) week minimum between delivery dates. The vendor shall unbox and assemble all hardware associated with this procurement. The vendor shall provide all tools and accessories associated with the installation and assembling of equipment, if needed. Vendor shall deliver/assemble the new beds and haul away the old beds during the same trip. This one-for-one swap will be completed for all 3 separate deliveries. Delivery and installation shall occur during normal business hours (8:00am 4:30pm) Monday through Friday except federal holidays. FOB Destination to the following address: G.V.
