- NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Mechanicsburg is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to evaluate, repair and/or modify the items as specified within this document.\ \ The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one or a limited number of repair sources under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Government intends to solicit for the repair of: 5895-01-614-7968, P/N 60048809-001, Microwave Modem Assembly. The Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to contract repair of this part from additional sources. It has been determined to be uneconomical to buy the data or rights to the data. It is uneconomical to reverse engineer the part.\ \ All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within 5 days after date of publication of this Sources Sought Notice will be considered by the Government. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information is purely voluntary, the government assumes NO financial responsibility and will NOT reimburse for any costs incurred. Additional repair sources require approval by a cognizant technical authority. NAVSUP WSS Mechanicsburg will not delay award while any repair source approval is pending.\ \ NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (16-MAR-2018); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
