- Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 5, is issuing this request for information/sources sought notice in order to identify entities that have the resources and capabilities to provide clinical pharmacy, medication management and quality improvement services for the Washington DC VA Medical Center. Description of Work The contractor will provide clinical pharmacists for identifying and reporting adverse drug reactions (ADR), conducting drug utilization evaluations, participating as a member of the DC VAMC s ADR and Drug Use Evaluation subcommittees; assisting the DC VAMC in optimizing its drug formulary review and implementation processes and also its drug usage protocols for educational and quality improvement; providing educational and development activities for pharmacy staff and residents; and other similar tasks inherent to pharmacy quality improvement. Contractor personnel will perform services onsite at the Washington DC VAMC. Technical Requirements Contractor must provide clinical pharmacists (Pharm. D., Master, or Ph.D.) with experience performing adverse drug reaction and drug utilization reviews. Contractor personnel must be able to pass background screening to obtain access to necessary VA information systems. Interested & Capable Responses NCO 5 is seeking responses from entities that are interested in this procurement and consider themselves to have the resources and capabilities necessary to provide these services. Capability statement and summary of previous experience providing clinical pharmacy, medication management and quality improvement services for the Veterans Health Administration or other similar healthcare entities. GSA contract number, if applicable, including the contract s ultimate completion date inclusive of all remaining option periods. Ballpark cost estimate per year, assuming the contracted clinical pharmacist will work about 75 hours per month to perform the work described.
