Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Project No.: 537-15-130 Project Description: Dental Service Renovations Design, Chicago, IL. This Architect/Engineer project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small-Business (SDVOSBs). The Architect/Engineer firm shall provide all Management, Supervision, Labor, Materials, Equipment, etc., and all other resources necessary to provide plans and specifications for the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center Dental Service Renovations construction project. The Scope of the project will require an Architect/Engineer firm to provide Professional Services for the Design and Construction Period Services of the Dental Service Renovations project expected to include phased planning to enable limited continuity of services, relocation of service functions during demolition and construction, selective demolition of the planned construction area, and then construction for approximately 16,000 sf of renovations of the 4th floor of the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center Damen Building, considering necessary work within both vertical and horizontal adjacencies to reconfigure the space for compliant and efficient work flow as will be described in the Scope of Services. All services related to the Scope of Services shall meet all applicable local, state, and federal codes and directives. Work is contemplated to be completed within three hundred fifty-four (354) calendar days after receipt of the Government s Notice to Proceed. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB design firms. The solicitation will be issued on/about April 12, 2018 with the bid opening on/about May 14, 2018. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOps which may be issued to this solicitation. There will be pre-design conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-design conference will be included in the solicitation package. The project magnitude range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 541310 (Architect-Engineer Services); size standard $7.5 million applies. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003 (b), SDVOSB firms must be verified in the VIP database (www.vip.vetbiz.gov) or hold a Re-verification symbol listed next to the firm s name (this symbol indicates that the firm is undergoing the re-verification process at CVE), prior to award of contract.
