Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice for notice of intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source award for a 12 month base and (2) annual option years to obtain preventative maintenance for the following equipment at the VAMC Boston: Sterrard NX Serial # 33081241; Sterrard NX Serial # 33081259; 100nx(Tm)1-Dr W/Duo Serial # 1043150124 ; Sterrard NX Serial # 10033060669; NX Serial #33081466; Sterrard NX Serial # 33090009; Sterrard NX Serial # 33090323; Sterrard NX Serial # 33090328; 100S STERILIZER Serial # 10101059479 and Sterrard 100s Sterilizer Serial # 10101059479 at the Jamaica Plain and West Roxbury campuses. Advanced Sterilization Products Division (ASP) is the original equipment manufacturer of the Sterrad NX equipment. Due to their proprietary technology, they are the only vendor that will be able to service these machines as the Authorized Service Provider. Since the intent is to procure these services on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps (FBO). The applicable NAICS code is 811219. The FSC/PSC is J065. The authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. 1901 and is implemented by for restricting competition on this procurement via FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
