Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT request for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine the following: The interest and capability of small business, especially service disabled veteran owned small business and veteran owned small business; Whether the business source is a manufacturer or authorized distributor, verified by an authorization letter from the original equipment manufacturer; and Size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334510 for the proposed acquisition. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10 is seeking potential sources for an Brymill Cryogenci Systems CRY-AC-3, brand name or equal, to be provided for the Battle Creek VA Medical Center, 5500 Armstrong Rd, Battle Creek, MI 49037. All items shall be new; refurbished/used items are not acceptable. Brand name or equal requirements: Part Number Description Quantity B-800 CRY-AC-3 Kit, Cryogenic Spray, Liquid Nitrogen,.3 Liter, 4 Tips, Straight and Bent Spray Needles 5 EA Salient Characteristics Cryogenic Guns Quantity of 5 Brand name Brymill Cry-AC-3 B-800 or equal Capacity: 10 oz. (300ml) Height: 8.5 in. (215mm) Weight: Full: 25.2oz. (715g) Empty: 17.3oz. (490g) Static Holding Time: 10 to 12 hours Intended use: Primary Care Physicians, Providers (NP s, PA s) Dermatology to be used as treatment for a broad range of benign skin problems Temperatures of 25 °C to 50 °C ( 13 °F to 58 °F) can be achieved within 30 seconds if a sufficient amount of liquid nitrogen is applied by spray or probe. The Cryogun; no electrical requirements needed The Cryoguns are filled with liquid nitrogen: Liquid nitrogen is inert, colorless, odorless, non corrosive, nonflammable, and extremely cold. Nitrogen makes up the major portion of the atmosphere (78% by volume). Nitrogen is inert and will not support combustion; however, it is not life supporting. When nitrogen is converted to liquid form it becomes a cryogenic liquid. Must be able to be used in conjunction with Dewars to contain the liquid nitrogen. Has an operation width of 46cm and is 18.1 Has a theoretical performance of 1.800 m2/hour or 19375 sq. ft./hour Has a practical performance of 1.00-1.300 m2/hour or 10.000-14.000 sq. ft./hour Has a power rating of 700w Have a clean water tank that is 4L/1 gallon and a recovery water tank that is 8L/2 gallon. The brush pressure must be 22KG and is 48.5lbs Must weigh without batteries 17.5-21.5 KG or 38.6-47.4 lbs. Must weigh with batteries and water 25.5KG and 56.2 lbs.
