Description
The Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ), on behalf of Cruise Missile Defense Systems (CMDS) Project Office (PO), Program Executive Office (PEO) Missiles and Space (M&S), is releasing this special notice to inform interested parties of an industry day for the Initial Maneuver-Short Range Air Defense (IM-SHORAD) Program. This industry day is to inform the public of the need for prototype development of M-SHORAD. The M-SHORAD program is an urgent acquisition capability program, intended to deliver a solution to provide air and missile defense protection to the maneuvering formations. The initial 144 M-SHORAD systems will be fielded under an Operational Needs Statement (ONS). For the M-SHORAD Performance Specification and additional technical guidance information please contact the Government POC listed for this requirement. This is not a notice for a solicitation. This is not a Request for Proposal or Request for White Papers. This Special Notice is to cordially invite industry partners to attend the Industry Day to be held: Date: 13 APRIL 2018 Industry Day Schedule: 0830 - 0900: Registration and one-on-one session sign ups 0900 - 1000: M-SHORAD Program Overview 1000 - 1300: One-on-one sessions (sign up times confirmed during registration) Location: Hyatt Regency Crystal City, 2799 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, VA 22202 The goals of this Industry Day are to identify potential offerors, familiarize participants with the performance specifications for M-SHORAD and other guidance documentation, clarify questions from the initial submission of the topic, and promote understanding of the proposal requirements. This industry day will take place on Day 3 (13 APRIL 2018) of the National Armaments Consortium (NAC) General Membership Meeting (GMM). (nac-dotc.org). The Government intends to release a Request for Ordnance Technology Initiatives (ROTI) through the Defense Ordnance Technology Consortium (DOTC) to the National Armaments Consortium (NAC) inclusive of this technology gap. The Industry Day is open to all U.S. based DoD contractors. A NAC membership will be required to respond to the ROTI but is not required to attend this Industry Day. In addition to Industry Day, interested parties may sign up for one-on-one sessions, lasting no more than thirty (30) minutes, to obtain clarification on any information provided during the course of Industry Day. These sessions may also be used for company proprietary capability briefs relevant to this emerging requirement. Specific M-SHORAD program one-on-one sessions will be scheduled during the M-SHORAD Industry Day on 13 April 2018. Further instructions on the One-on-One Sessions will be given at the introduction of the Industry Day. The Industry Day will be unclassified. All attendees are required to be a U.S. Citizen and be employed by U.S based DoD contractor. NAC Members attending the NAC GMM will have their credentials validated during the GMM registration process. NAC members not attending the GMM and Non-NAC members who are interested in attending the industry day are required to validate U.S. Citizenship at the meeting via a U.S. Passport or a combination of a U.S. based birth certificate and valid U.S. based Driver's License. Non NAC member companies need to submit a copy of their company's valid DD2345 (required to access unclassified technical data that is under the control of the U.S. Department of Defense) to Melody Young, CMDS Security, melody.r.young2.ctr@mail.mil. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred as a result of this special notice, to include costs associated with attending the Industry Day.
