Description

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT request for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine the following: The interest and capability of small business, especially service disabled veteran owned small business and veteran owned small business; Whether the business source is a manufacturer or authorized distributor, verified by an authorization letter from the original equipment manufacturer; and Size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 221330 for the proposed acquisition. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10 is seeking potential sources for an Bell and Gosset Steam Heat Exchangers, brand name or equal, to be provided for the Battle Creek VA Medical Center, 5500 Armstrong Rd, Battle Creek MI 49037. All items shall be new; refurbished/used items are not acceptable. Brand name or equal requirements: Part Number Description Quantity SU-104-2 Bell and Gosset Steam Heat Exchangers with a Bell and Gosset #26 Vacuum Breakers 2 EA Steam Heat Exchanger Details: As listed below or approved equal to a Bell & Gossett SU-104-2 with #26 Vacuum Breakers Heat Exchanger details: Types "SU" Heat Exchangers are of the shell and tube type. The tube bundle is of "U" bend construction with tube ends expanded into a stationary tube sheet. This construction permits ample expansion or contraction for wide temperature variations. A fluid entering the tubes is heated by steam condensing in the single pass shell. Tube spacers properly support and space each tube for maximum efficiency in steam condensation and drainage. Standard "SU" Heat Exchangers are constructed according to ASME requirements for pressure and temperatures. -10 Inch diameter -Shell & Tube -U-bend construction -Type 4 Pass -Shell Material Steel -Tube Material Copper -Useable Steam pressure -50PSI -Water Temperature -200 degrees All contractors that are interested in meeting this requirement are asked to submit the following information: Company Name Company Address DUNS Number Company POC Name Company POC Phone Company POC Email Business Size/Type under NAICS 221330 GSA Contract Number (if applicable) If proposing equal items, provide detailed documentation showing how the proposed items are equal to the Bell & Gosset brand. Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for veteran owned small business status must be registered with the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov as an SDVOSB or VOSB.
