Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to issue an firm fixed price Contract to furnish all labor, materials, parts and equipment necessary to inspect and load test the elevators one time for the five-year inspection as listed below and all related equipment so that the systems are maintained in accordance with the ANSI/ASME Safety Code requirements A17.1; A17.2 and Al2.3, the manufacturer's recommendations, the Elevator Industry Field Employees' Safety Handbook, National Electrical Code, NEIT Vertical Transportation Standards for Elevators, Escalators and Dumbwaiters and all other applicable laws, regulations, rules, ordinances, codes, etc. for the Medical Center to Larry B. Mayfield-DBA Mayfield Government Inspections 17460 IH, 35N Suite 430, Sheretz, TX 78154, This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source award to Larry B. Mayfield-DBA Mayfield Government Inspections., a VIP Verified SDVOSB, under FAR 6.302-5, Authorized or Required by Statute, Veterans First Contracting Program, as authorized by 38 U.S.C. 8127 and 8128 (Pub. L. 109-461, as amended), implemented under subpart 819.70, is in the best interest of the Government. The NAICS Code that applies to this procurement is 332812; the small business size standard is 500. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes, competitive proposals, solicitations, or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 1:00 PM EST on March 20, 2018.
