Page 1 of 1 The VA Western New York Healthcare System (VAWNYHS) located at Buffalo VAMC, 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215 has a requirement for a firm fixed-price contract to conduct qualitative respiratory fit test and training for N-95 particulate respirators and training for Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR). The services required for this piece of equipment is as follows: The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, and equipment to include all associated costs; such as instructors/trainers, office supplies, computers, testing equipment, transportation, fuel surcharges, food, and lodging, necessary to provide: Medical clearance, onsite initial and/or reoccurring annual fit test and training on an N-95 respirator to initially and/or annually train and fit-test approximately 600 personnel. Provide training for approximately 50 healthcare personnel for the powered air purifying respirator (PAPR) for personnel who cannot achieve a fit test in an N-95 or who choose to use the PAPR. The respiratory fit test and training shall be conducted in accordance with compliance requirements as set forth in: Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 1910.134 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) Guidelines for Preventing the Transmission of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in Health-Care Settings Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration SCVAHCN Policy Memorandum No. 64 U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Publication No.99-143. Responsibilities: The contractor shall be responsible for full compliance with any and all applicable, federal, state, and local government policies, regulations, procedures, specifications, etc., that apply to work of this nature. In addition, the contractor must obtain and keep current all licenses, OSHA training, permits, etc., that may be required by the above mentioned agencies to accomplish the work. The contractor shall provide a sign in sheet identifying all attempted fit tests. The contractor shall document all completed fit tests using VAWNYHS provided documentation. Documents will be provided to the Program Administrator daily. The VAWNYHS document will include: Last Name First Name Department Size of Respirator Type of Respirator Type of Test Performed Fit Test Date Fit Tester The NAICS Code is 541690. The expected cost for this firm fixed price contract to include four option years is $50,000 to $75,000.00. This sources sought is to determine whether there is sufficient interest to warrant either an open market or a small business set aside competition for this procurement.. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the Albany VA Medical Centers. This is not a solicitation.
