- Description
- The contractor shall provide routine preventative maintenance and emergency services. The contractor shall provide at least two routine maintenance visits per year. During the visits, work should be performed on the equipment to assure long-term performance and reliability, including factory level spectrometer alignment. Malfunctioning systems should receive corrective service at this time. In addition to the two routine visits, the contractor shall provide emergency service. Whenever the instrument becomes inoperable or fails to perform to specifications due to a failure associated with the instrument, the contractor shall provide an engineer to make the appropriate repair at no additional charge to the Government within 5 business days, assuming the problem cannot be solved by a phone consultation. Guarantee that parts not available at the time of field service visit shall be ordered same day, at no extra cost to the government. Be able to have the instrument back to functioning at 100% of the manufacturer's specifications. All components determined to be defective should be replaced without additional charge to the Government. The contractor shall unconditionally warrant the covered equipment, accessories and components during the term of this agreement. In the event that the Government elects not to exercise the Options, a 30-Day Labor, 90-Day Parts Warranty, shall apply to repairs performed during the last 90 days of the term of the agreement. The contract should be for Maintenance Services for the duration of one (1) year with four (4) one-year options for existing Government-owned GATAN equipment being utilized in conjunction with a JEOL 2100F Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). The Gatan equipment is located in the NIOSH Alice Hamilton Laboratory at 5555 Ridge Avenue in Cincinnati OH 45213.
