- Purpose and Objectives: The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential businesses especially any Small Businesses and SDVOSB offerors capable of providing an Endoscopic Scope Storage cabinet as listed in the below Statement of Need. These are for the VA Medical Center in Erie, PA 16504. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the principal components of supplies listed in the attached document. Responses should include the following information: Business name, address, Point of Contact, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business info and if they are a manufacturer of the items. All information is to be submitted via e-mail at Ronald.Kline@va.gov. Information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses are due by 12:00 pm (EST) on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. No submissions will be accepted after this date and time. Questions can be submitted electronically to at Ronald.Kline@va.gov. This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is the government obligated to issue an RFQ. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. STATEMENT OF NEED: The endoscope cabinet (3 EA.) must be tall enough to have endoscopes hang in the full extended position without the distal tip touching the bottom or side of the cabinet. This length must be between 93 and 96 inches total height and 27 inches in width and depth. The cabinet must be able to hang 9 endoscopes. The scope hanging hooks/mechanism are set up in a rotary carousel allowing personnel to utilize the First in First out pull system methodology as written in VHA Directive 1116(2) and minimize unnecessary handling of endoscopes and environmental disturbances. The cabinet must have a full height glass/plexi glass door. The cabinet must be equipped with a HEPA filter. The cabinet is non-electronic- the fan which is supplied as an externally mounted item with attached electrical certification with voltage rating between 115-120, Current rating between.80-.82 Amps, and wattage rating between 90-95 Watts. The Cabinet may have optional upgradeable enhancements which are specified in below Description/Salient Features. Description/Salient Features Must have the following features: Rotary access carousel allowing ease of removal and placement of scopes without disturbing or handling therefore reducing the risk of damage and cross contamination. At least 9 scope hooks Positive pressure HEPA filtered environment for endoscopes. Externally removable base draw without opening cabinet, simple to wipe down and ensures less environmental disturbances of scopes while cleaning base draw. Adjustable hook design allows for optimal scope bending, rubber positioning; ensure less wear and tear on bending rubber and fragile components- Ergonomic hanging full length design. Externally mounted fan unit with rating for 110V 50Hz Externally mounted fan unit with Current(amp) rating.081 Wattage rating 93 Cabinet height between 93-96 inches Cabinet width between 26-28 inches Cabinet depth between 26-28 inches Full height glass/Plexi glass door Light clear blue as the color for side panel Option Enhancement are not required and can be added at any time Serial to LAN Communications: Bluetooth Wi-Fi communications for off hook and expired product in storage using BLE Bluetooth technology. Key fob entry RFID BLE Capability: This additional function allows the scope cabinet to identify scopes in and out of cabinet/user storing or removing scopes. *RFID function requires additional Wi-Fi connection with plug and play Tag to Wi-Fi readers. Must be compatible with Censitrac Barcode Labeling System. This is the system currently used by SPS. Training and Installation of 3 cabinets.
