Scope of Work: Mental Health departments can place unique demands on hospital employees to meet the health and physical needs of their patients. These patients are at risk of injuring themselves, and these beds are designed to mitigate these potential problems. Low bed height helps to significantly reduce fall injuries and increase patient comfort to create a more secure sleeping environment. There are many other features that make these beds safe for mentally ill patients. Increased security in beds, when partnered with specialized hospital processes, help to keep both patient and care providers safe. 2.
