- This project specifies the following work: Perform an asbestos remediation in the troop barracks buildings 2321, 2322, 2323, 2340 and 2341. The ceiling lining of the rooms consists of asbestos cement panels which have to be dismounted up to the wooden roof truss and disposed of by a certified expert firm. Dismount the mineral-fiber insulation placed on the ceiling lining and dispose of, too. Afterwards, install a new, thermally insulated dry-construction ceiling. Dismount and dispose of the existing ceiling lighting, smoke detectors and distribution boxes. Thereafter, install new ceiling light fixtures, emergency lighting, smoke detectors and distribution panels. Paint the new ceiling and all walls. The five buildings are equally constructed. A longitudinal, centrally located partition wall divides each building into two sleeping rooms of the same size. Each room has individual accesses from the outside. The sleeping rooms are furnished with bunk beds which must be temporarily stored in a different place and afterwards returned to their original position by the contractor. Exterior dimensions of each Building: 25.50 m x 12.00 m Eaves height: 3.00 m Ridge height: 4.00 m Dimensions of the individual asbestos cement ceiling panels: 1.25 m x 2.50 m.
