Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION/ SOURCES SOUGHT: Study: Peripheral nerve stimulation Below are Minimum Essential Characteristics for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) Device, specifically a Continuous pulsed biphasic current peripheral nerve stimulator. The stimulator shall: 1. Deliver a pulsed biphasic current via, at minimum, one electrode to, at minimum, the skin overlying the ophthalmic branch of the trigeminal nerve, located on the right temple above the eyebrow and below the hair line. 2. Deliver a continuous pulsed biphasic current for at least 20 minutes. 3. At a minimum, the device shall be capable of producing frequencies ranging anywhere between 0-350Hz. 4. Generate a maximum deliverable amplitude of at least 4 mA. 5. Utilize electrodes that are commercially available. 6. If the stimulator module is wirelessly operated, it shall be powered by a rechargeable lithium battery that can deliver four 20-minute stimulations on a single charge. 7. Include safety features such as compliance with federal electrical standards, emergency shutoff, limited maximum voltage output, and hardware fault detection. 8. Utilize a user interface that does not require interfacing with DoD networks or computers to deliver the specified stimulation output. 9. Allow the user to preset specific stimulation programs within the parameters established above. 10. Allow for double-blind administration of preset programs. PLEASE PROVIDE CAPABILITY RESPONSE TO THE POC LISTED.
