Page 1 of 1 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration (NCA), under the authority of FAR Subpart 6.302-5(c)(2)(ii) & VAAR 819-7007 is providing notification and justification authority for pending award of solicitation number 36C786-18-R-0208, to US Diversified Contracting Services Inc for emergent well systems repairs at Beaufort National Cemetery, located in Beaufort, SC. This acquisition was sole-source and 100% set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business company. The NAICS Code is 221310, Titled Water Supply & Irrigation Systems. Business Size Standards - $27.5 million. Nature and/or description of the action being approved. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration (NCA), Contracting Construction Division, intends to negotiate/award a sole source contract of Ninety (90) calendar days for the prime contractor to completely prepare site for construction operations, furnish all labor and materials, and perform all work as required by the scope of work and specifications, including: the drilling of three (3) irrigation wells approximately 150 feet deep; the installation of three (3) 7.5 H.P. submersible pumps complete with all wiring, piping, controllers, VFDs; the manifold and controls to tie the new wells into the existing irrigation system, supplying and installing all enclosures, the abandonment of the existing shallow (~ 90 feet) irrigation well in the Well House per South Carolina regulations, and the restoration of the site. The first well shall be considered a test well to confirm yield of the well and quality of the water. The locations of the wells shall be determined in the field in coordination with the Cemetery Director and the Southeast District Engineer.
