Description

Notice of Intent and Brand Name. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21 intends to solicit and negotiate with Omnicell, Inc. for the Omnicell Supply Management System with associated locking drawers, solution package, and support services (add-on to existing system(s) in place throughout the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System) for use at the San Jose VA Outpatient Clinic, 5855 Silver Creek Valley Place, San Jose, CA 95138. Determination of this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized; and, FAR 8.405-6(b)(1) brand name. It is the Government s belief that the proposed candidate is the only provider of the Omnicell Supply Management System with associated locking drawers, solution package, and support services; and is the only manufacturer that can meet the agency s needs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can provide the Omnicell Supply Management System with associated locking drawers, solution package, and support services may give written notice to mandy.thompson2@va.gov by 12:00pm PST on March 9, 2018. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The applicable NAICS Code is 339112 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. No telephone requests will be accepted.
