Description
W56HZV-18-R-L212 – Kit Component Breakdown THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT/SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE REQUESTING THE IDENTIFICATION OF ANY SOURCES POTENTIALLY ABLE TO FULFILL THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENT - NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The U.S. Army Contracting Command in Warren, Michigan (ACC-WRN) intends to issue Solicitation W56HZV-18-R-L212 on a sole source basis for the purpose of procuring a quantity of 40 each Automatic Fire/Explosion Suppression System Installation Kits, specifically designed for use in the M113 OPFOR Surrogate Vehicle (OSV). Kits shall be comprised of the components listed on the Attachment entitled "W56HZV-18-R-L212 - Kit Component Breakdown" included as part of this notice. This proposed procurement is for the acquisition of supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-2(b)(1) and (2). The Government intends to negotiate and award on a sole source basis a contract to Kidde Technologies Inc. (CAGE Code 05BU0) for this requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 423990. Any party believing they may be able to fulfill this requirement shall identify their interest and express their potential capability no later than 3:00pm EDT Monday 5 March 2018 by e-mailing ACC-WRN Contract Specialist Michael Ciaciuch <michael.r.ciaciuch.civ@mail.mil> with a subject line of "M113 Fire/Explosion Suppression Kits W56HZV-18-R-L212". All correspondence for this matter shall be done through e-mail, no phone inquiries will be accepted (unless definitive proof several e-mail contact attempts have been made but failed). Mr. Ciaciuch, is the cognizant ACC-WRN point of contact for this procurement; phone 586.282.5734 (if needed; again, phone calls will only be accepted if evidence that e-mail communication failed can be presented). A determination by the Government to continue with a sole source procurement and not compete this proposed requirement will be in part based upon response(s) received to this notice, and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
