Description

This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size relative to NAICS Code 541350, Standard Size: $7.5 Million. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. Scope of Work The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) located in Little Rock and North Little Rock, AR, requires an annual infrared scan of our emergency and normal power equipment in LR & NLR. The contractor shall perform an infrared camera scan of our electrical distribution system equipment. The vendor must also provide a service and maintenance agreement which will include adjusting, repairs, and replacing any malfunctioning equipment. Response to this notice should include a capability statement, and three (3) customer references to which you have provided similar services. All interested firms shall provide the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, capability statement, and business size pursuant to the NAICS Code 541350, Standard Size $7.5 Million. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to Jacqueline.Simpson3@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than Tuesday, March 06, 2018 at 10am, CST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. SCOPE OF WORK INFRARED SCAN Objective: Service to perform annual JCAHO required infrared scan of our emergency and normal power equipment in LR & NLR. Description of Work: A site visit to the LR & NLR campuses to perform an infrared camera scan of our electrical distribution system equipment to locate hot spots that could damage the integrity of our normal, emergency & critical power systems. Contractor shall use an infra-red scanning camera to detect hot spots in the Electrical Power Distribution System. Total number of items to be scanned not to exceed 1450. Contractor shall complete work within 30 days after award. VA will provide escort to all locations of items to be scanned. Work to be performed during normal duty hours of 7:30 am 4:00 pm. Upon completion contractor, shall provide separate complete itemized reports for NLR and LR to the VA with normal and infrared photos as well as a back-up CD for each location. Contractor will not have access to the network or sensitive information. Contract personnel will be issued a contractor badge and escorted by VA electric shop personnel.
