Description

Amendment to the solicitation issued to address questions from a prospective offeror. Question 1: On drawing C-505, under detail E, number 2 & 3 ask for 6 of aggregate and moisture conditioned compacted sub grade. Will this be required since we are removing existing concrete? Answer 1: Based on the current condition of the pavement, the Government assumes the existing base and sub-grade are not compromised. The existing base and sub grade may remain in place when in good condition. After demoing the slab, the Contractor shall assess whether the existing base and subgrade can be compacted in place to 95%. If acceptable, the Contractor shall fill any low spots with additional material to achieve the correct grade and compact. Question 2: On drawing C-504, detail C, asks for inlet grate adjustment. I don t see this located on the other plans. Let me know if this is to be done and where it is? Answer 2: Inlet grate adjustment is not part of this project; therefore, this detail is not used.
