- Description
- Posting of Limited Source Justification (LSJ), see attached. The value of the task order is $683,286.40. Task order is for the provision of Medical Officer of the Day (MOD) and related physician services by Vista Staffing Solutions on behalf of the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center (JEVZ VAMC) Medicine Service. These physician services are available via Special Item Number (SIN) 621-003 under Vista Staffing Solution s FSS V797D-30227. MOD and related physician services will be provided onsite to eligible VA beneficiaries. The MOD is responsible for provision of urgent and general medical care to all patients in the Urgent Care Clinic (UCC), Acute Care unit, and long term care residents in the Community Living Center. Physician services are to be rendered during weeknights, weekends, and Federal holidays. Term of the task order is 3 months from date of award with one additional three month option to extend the term of the order. Task order was awarded on a firm fixed price basis. MOD and related physician services are essential to the regular and orderly provision of patient care at the JEVZ VAMC. Vista Staffing Solutions is the incumbent contractor providing these services. JEVZ VAMC currently relies on contracted physicians to fulfill most of their required MOD and related physician services. Without the contracted physicians, orderly and effective provision of patient care would be compromised. It is essential that there be no break in these services. A new task order was awarded effective 3/1/18 so that services can commence immediately on 3/1 and to prevent a break in services. Following normal competitive ordering procedures would have caused unacceptable delays and prevented timely award of the needed task order; and as such would have compromised patient care.
