Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY The purpose of this notice is to obtain information on Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), 8(a), HUBZone, or Small Businesses (SB) interests, capabilities, and qualifications to determine if a set-aside is appropriate. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Proposals are NOT being requested or accepted at this time. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, requests letters of interest from SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, and SB CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS interested in performing construction work at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, 5000 5th Avenue, Hines, IL. This project will use NAICS Code: 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, Size Standard $15.0 million. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Previously solicited, but not awarded due to additional clarification needed for requirement, ambiguities, and insufficient SDVOSB responses received. Project Description: Project # 578-17-020 Upgrades to the Fisher House at Building 100 project requires the contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and insurance for the upgrades to the HVAC and control systems. Estimated Period of Performance: Project duration is estimated at 120 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP). Interested sources shall submit the following: 1. Company name, address, point of contact, phone number, DUNS number, and business status. 2. Indicate the primary nature of your business, any teaming agreements or arrangements, self- performance and intentions of subcontracting program, including Set-Asides; 3. Documentation relating to capability of performance. Provide two (2) examples of projects similar in scope, complexity, and cost magnitude of project description above. 4. Letter from the surety regarding the maximum bonding capability for a single contract action as well as the total aggregate bonding capacity. Total submittal shall be no longer than (12) twelve pages in one.pdf file or word document. Responses are required to be sent via email to Alicia.Brister@va.gov, no later than 4:30 pm CT, March 08, 2018. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. It is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of potential qualified contractors before determining the method of acquisition. In addition, this sources sought is not to be construed as a commitment by the government, nor will the government pay for any information solicited or delivered.
