Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Des Moines Sleep Lab Bed Frames and Half Rails Commercial Items. Solicitation number: 36C26318Q0293 1a. DESCRIPTION OF THIS SOLICITATION. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is for the acquisition of one (1) Queen and one (1) Full sized sleep lab bed frames as specified in the characteristics below and documents attached for the Des Moines VAMC. Multiple and/or alternative product quotes are encouraged to be submitted by interested offerors. The type of award (contract) the government intends to make/enter for this solicitation is: one Firm Fixed Priced Purchase Order. Responsible sources that are authorized resellers or distributors of the listed manufacturers items, or equal like items, are encouraged to submit quote(s). The government will evaluate quotes using Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) factors. Reference Section 2 for Instructions to Offerors. Reference Section 3 for Evaluation Factors. Response to this solicitation is to be received no later than: 04:30pm CST, Monday, March 9, 2018. Information relevant to this solicitation: Solicitation number: 36C26318Q0293 NAICS code (North American Industrial Classification system: 339113 Size Standard for this NAICS code: 750 employees PSC/FSC (Product Service Code/Federal Supply Code): 6515 This acquisition is: Set-aside 100% for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Only VA verified SDVOSBs listed in the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) Database at the time of award of contract will be considered. Quotations from Non-VIP verified offerors will be considered non-responsive, will not be evaluated and will not be eligible for award. This is a Brand Name or Equal solicitation. Any or equal items must meet or exceed the performance specifications of the brand name items being solicited. Delivery method and instructions: FOB Destination, 30 Calendar Days ARO. Contract Period: Delivery date - 30 Calendar Days ARO. 1b. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS The Des Moines VAMC has a requirement for replacement Transfer Master brand-name, or equal, beds and rails for clinical sleep studies. One (1) Queen sized bed and one (1) Full sized bed each are requested with the design, dimensions and fit to support existing on-hand mattresses currently utilized in sleep studies. Salient Characteristics: One (1) Queen hospital grade bed frame with half rails with design, dimensions and fit for use with the existing 60 x 80 x 8 Rest-Q GS Plus mattress. One (1) Full hospital grade bed frame with half rails with design, dimensions and fit for use with the existing 54 x 80 x 8 Rest-Q GS Plus mattress. Minimum of 500 lb. weight capacity. Head/foot hi and low adjustments. TRENDELENBURG and reverse TRENDELENBURG positioning and adjustments. 5" or comparable casters. Hospital grade rated plug. Electrical control for adjustment of bed height and functions. Adjustable/Removeable Half-length bed rail. Minimum of a one (1) year warranty. Operators and technical manuals. Installation Instructions. Cleaning Instructions for all equipment, supplies and accessories. Safety assessment and case studies on equipment, if applicable.
