- Page 1 of 1 Therapeutic Medical Physicist(s) The Oklahoma City VA Health Care System has a requirement for Therapeutic Medical Physicist (TMP) to perform onsite Radiation Oncology Physics and Dosimetry Support Services to eligible beneficiaries. All VA Radiation Oncology Services are accredited by American College of Radiology (ACR) and follow the standards & guidelines set forth by ACR. Contractor shall provide TMP services for veteran patients to include evaluation and treatment of transported inpatient and outpatient clinical services for both palliative and curative cancer patients. This shall include provision of treatment plans, follow-up, re-evaluation, continuing evaluations and treatment visits. Contract Radiation Oncologist shall complete any documentation associated with the treatment provided to VA patients treated by them. TMP services will also include conventional radiation treatment using the following modalities IMRT, IGRT, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and Stereotactic Radiotherapy. All patient care documentation including, but not limited to consultations, encounters, weekly progress notes, treatment discharge notes, follow-up notes, continuing physics consultation which covers weekly chart review checks, special physics consultation notes, and other required documentation, shall be recorded documented in accordance with VA Rules and Regulations. Contractor s TMP is primarily and professionally engaged in the design, optimization, and technical evaluation of radiation treatment plans as well as ensuring precise and accurate radiation dose delivery. TMPs are responsible for radiation protection of patients and staff. The requirement is for a base year and four 1-year option periods for a total period with all options of five years. A full description of services required will be provided in the formal RFQ which may be released following this pre-solicitation.
