- Vendor Questions and Answers: also added to description block N4523A18Q4100 0001_73477012_Sample Cooler_RFQ Amendment Additional Description Information- Response to Vendor Questions: With reference to the above solicitation, just a few questions: 1. Material needed, pressure, temperature, special tests, connection types, coating. Answer: --Material needed: 300 Series Stainless Steel (tubing and shell) -- Design Pressure / Temperature: - Tube = 2000 psig @ 500°C - Shell = 200 psig @ 100°C -- Connection Type: - Tube = 3/8" OD tubing inlet / outlet, with 3/8" OD tubing throughout a spiral helical heat exchanger design - Shell = 3/4" NPTF or 1-1/16-12 MS female thread (O-ring Seal Boss), both inlet & outlet -- Sample inlet temperature: - <232°C compressed water; sample outlet needs to be <38°C. at atmospheric pressure. -- No special testing or special coating required. 2. Please provide the data sheets for these sample coolers. Answer: None provided 3. Also any inputs you could provide us on the attached parameters' sheet would be helpful. Answer: None provided 4. The sample is only water at temperature <232 deg. C. what will be its pressure? Answer: Cannot provide the use pressure; that is why design pressure was provided 5. What is cooling water temperature & pressure? Also what is chloride content in cooling water? Answer: Cooling water is ambient temperature. We do not regulate or sample for chlorides in the cooling water; it is whatever comes from standard municipal fresh water supply.
