Disclaimer The Department of Veterans Affairs Overton Brooks VA Medical Center (OBVAMC) is conducting market research to assess industry capabilities and identify competitive sources able provide moving services for the relocation of furniture and equipment across the facility campus. All equipment and furniture is located or installed in multiple structures across the OBVAMC campus located at 510 E. Stoner Ave., Shreveport, LA. All information received in response to this notice marked proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Any information submitted by and obtained in response to this notice may be used in development of the final work statement, cost estimates or terms and conditions of the actual solicitation. The anticipated NAICS code is 484210 Used Household and Office Goods Moving. The Government will not make a set-aside determination until market research efforts are complete. Submit responses to the Contracting Officer by noon (CT) Thursday March 1. 2018. Site Visits: The Government is offering a site-visit on Thursday March 1, at 9:00 A.M. Interested parties must report to Building 1, room BN3. The point of contract is Stanley Turner, Quality Assurance Specialist. Participating firms should provide advanced notice to Mr. Turner at Stanley.Turner@va.gov. Interested parties are highly encouraged to participate and investigate the site to assess the general and local conditions affecting the work and potential pricing. The Government assumes no responsibility for any conclusions or interpretations made by interested parties based on any information obtained from the site inspection. Geographical Restriction: Although market research is on-going, the initial market survey strongly suggests significant competition exists within the immediate area. The agency is therefore contemplating restricting competition to firms located within 25 miles of the facility to contain costs. A final determination regarding the geographical restriction will be made by the Contracting Officer upon completion of activities. The 9 phases are tentatively scheduled in the outline below are subject to change as construction dates slip or quicken. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, equipment and materials required to achieve agency objectives. The contractor shall also be required to take all reasonable and necessary measures to protect Government facilities and property from damage during all phases of work.
