THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors for market research purposes and to determine whether to set-aside the requirement for concerns for the upcoming Request for Proposals (RFP) for: Lease of a 500 Ton Chiller Naval Facilities Engineering Command Mid-Atlantic is specifically seeking firms with current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel, and capabilities to perform the proposed requirement. The work includes, but is not limited to installation of a temporary 500 ton air cooled chiller and associated equipment as required per the manufacturers ™ specifications. Mechanical design shall be in accordance with the International Mechanical Code, International Energy Code, applicable ASHRAE standards and Federal standards which apply. Any/all lifting and placement of equipment shall include a barrier around chiller to protect from damage. The temporary chiller will be electrically connected to the existing 1200 Amp, 3 phase, 480 volt disconnect located on exterior basement wall. The electrical wires shall be connection using cam locks on the end of the wires when connected to the existing disconnect. The temporary chiller will be connected to the existing supply and return chilled water lines located on the exterior of the boiler room. The chilled water lines from the temporary chiller to the building chilled water lines shall be flexible hoses. All mechanical connections to building chill water piping with quick connect fittings and isolation valves, all connections to the buildings BAS or EMCS control system, routine maintenance of the equipment. Contract shall include full insurance, applicable taxes and fees. The contractor shall repair back to original condition of any walls, ceilings, floors or parking areas that are damaged or changed due to making connections for temporary chiller pipes or electrical connections as directed by the government. Procurement Method: FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 532490 Other Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing and the annual size standard is $32,500,000. This is a new requirement with a potential lease period of 1 May 2018 thru 31 October 2018. Interested business concerns should, as early as possible but not later than 3 days of this notice, indicate interest in the acquisition by providing to the contracting office evidence of capability to perform and a positive statement of eligibility as a concern. Information on any subcontracts shall be included with the capability statement or the statement of interest will not be considered. The capability statement shall include the following: Ability to meet all technical requirements outlined in this notice Active in the System for Award Management Registration (SAM) with: oDUNS number oCAGE code Representations as Small Business or other Small Business Concern Type Small Business classification for NAICS Code 532490 If adequate interest is not received from small business concerns, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice. Notifications of interest must be submitted in writing via email; phone calls will NOT be accepted. Interested parties should respond as soon as possible but no later than close of business 1 March 2018.
