Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs, Iowa City, IA, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority FAR 6.302-3 with the University of Iowa for the period of 12/1/2017 to 9/30/2018 for The contractor will provide labor and materials and content expertise to assist in the advancement of work in Tele-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy pain intervention for Veterans undergoing Total Knee Arthroplasties (TKA), which has the potential to impact thousands of rural Veterans per year, to support the Rural Health Resource Center-Central Region projects entitled, Telephone-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Veterans at Risk for Chronic Postsurgical Pain led by Katherine Hadlandsmyth, PhD, Project Leader. The University of Iowa Department of Anesthesia was identified in the funding of this project and the work cannot be conducted without utilizing them. The MOU and funding for this project were based upon the involvement of the University of Iowa Department of Anesthesia. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Request for quotes 36C26318Q0383 for above requirement, NAICS 611310, size standard $33.5 million will be issued on 12/1/2017. The deadline to submit a quote is 9/30/2018.
