Description

The Veterans Administration Central Texas Medical Center Research and Development Group intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with LEICA MICROSYSTEMS to provide equipment and installation of their Leica TCS SP5 II. This equipment will be utilized as part of an upgrade and is compatible with the existing Leica equipment the Research Service has already in place at the VA facility, in accordance with FAR part 8.405-6. This equipment will continue to support research projects currently being conducted at the Central Texas VA. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Tuesday, February 27, 2018, 4:00, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Elaine DiBucci at elaine.dibucci@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
