- CRM Request for Information. This is a Request for Information (RFI). This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Acquisition University (DAU) is seeking firms doing business in North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 511210, Applications software, computer, packaged or NAICS code is 541511, Applications software programming services, custom computer. This request is issued for the purpose of conducting market research to 1) determine if a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution is the best solution to meet DAU's requirements; 2) determine if there are other alternate solutions which would better fit DAU's requirements; 3) assist DAU is refining it requirements and its acquisition strategy; 4) receive information and feedback on vendor interest; and 5) determine affordability of a solution. The Government may engage Vendors that respond to this RFI by seeking further information about capabilities or even an 8(a) direct award. The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) is conducting market research to determine if a commercial out-of-the box (OOB), non-developmental, or open source software solution exists, with minimal to no customization, which can support its customer intimacy (CI) initiative. DAU is looking for solutions to quickly capture, analyze, assimilate, and report the needs of our customers from within the DoD services / departments. A better understanding of the customer's needs will support effective and efficient decision-making and allocation of DAU resources for improved and relevant delivery of acquisition learning and knowledge products and services (assets).
