- Description
- 1. In order for competitors to speak directly to their capabilities with specific software tools and languages, can TMDE provide additional insight into the modern software languages that will be supported by NGATS? Answer: C, C#, C++ 2. In order for competitors to speak directly to their experience with applicable DoD/Army policies and standards, can TMDE identify the specific policies and standards that will be required for this program? Answer: Interested experienced companies should be familiar with relevant DoD/Army policies and standards or take the time to research them. 3. Are there any data rights issues that would prevent a third party from viewing, producing, and or functionally accepting a production NGATS? Answer: There are no data rights issues. 4. Are there any encumbrances on any of the software or hardware that would limit competition? Answer: No 5. Assuming this RFI moves forward to a formal solicitation, does TMDE anticipate the scope would involve support or maintenance of existing, fielded NGATS systems? Answer: This strategy has not been determined yet. 6. There appears to be a blend of tasks within the RFI. The primary focus appears to be NGATS Production, installation/Integration and Product Life Cycle support; however, the effort also includes references to System upgrades/enhancements and TPS Offload. To allow competitors to accurately address all elements of the capabilities coverage, can TMDE provide additional insight into the anticipated scope associated with the upgrades and the TPS Offload? Answer: The contractor shall assure that all current TPS that execute on the current FRP NGATS execute on the newly produced NGATS. Upgrades included. 7. There is a significant emphasis on Army ATE experience. Can TMDE outline the differences of concern between Army ATE and other DoD ATE operated in similar environments. Answer: Each service has specific policies, procedures and requirements that pertain to their ATE programs. 8. It is not clear why there is a strong emphasis on a production contract to be closely integrated with Army TPS processes or NxTest policies and directives. Could the army please clarify the relevancy to the scope of work? Answer: These processes, policies and directives drive the Army ATE programs. The offeror shall be well versed and aware of these and their impacts on ATE.
