Description
The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions that were submitted. 1. What are the primary use cases for the wireless network in year 1? Ex: Retail, Guest Wifi, Operations, Security Cameras, etc. Guest/Patient Wi-Fi 2. Which position do you want to mount the Wireless APs (WAP)? Ceiling, wall or floor mounting? Ceiling or Wall 3. Do you want the APs to be concealed or visible in user space? Either way is ok. 4. Can you provide detailed architectural floorplans of the space where the wireless LAN will be deployed? If so, please provide documentation. Diagrams are attached. 5. Please provide the list of all building materials used? Brick, dry wall, glass, concrete, etc All of the above 6. What type of traffic will be running over the wireless? A. Voice B. Date C. Video Voice and possibly video 7. Are there any areas that do not need Wireless network coverage? No 8. Are there any areas that are considered more critical for wireless coverage than others? No 9. Which areas do you anticipate the highest concentration of wireless users? Unknown 10. Can you explain if Physical Therapy, Vocational Rehab, Education & Social Networking are a part of the Spinal Cord Department for clarity? Yes 11. What percentage of Wireless users must be able to associate with Wi-Fi? 100% 12. Are there any application-specific dependencies that Wireless network needs to be aware of? Not to our knowledge 13. Are there any custom applications required to run over the Wireless network? Not to our knowledge 14. Is there a requirement for per-connection bandwidth over the Wireless network? Not to our knowledge 15. What type of devices will be connecting to the wireless network? a.             Are the devices primarily 2.4GHz/5GHz/or both capable? Yes b. What percentage of Wi-Fi clients users will be on 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz? Unknown Computers, laptops and cellphones possibly 16. Please provide additional information for the following wireless network and connectivity a. Do you require any sort of Quality of Service or Blacklisting by sites? Yes, to Quality of Service, possible blacklisting b.    Are you planning to allow Guests access to any internal information? No c.    Would you like to rate limit Guest internet access? No d.    Any other specific wireless requirements or needs? No 17.  Do you have a corporate IT Security policy as it relates to wireless authentication, encryption, guest access, etc? If so, please provide documentation for review. Yes, we do but it may not apply to the contractor as they have their own network 18. Do you have a requirement for location tracking of wireless clients? No 19. Please list Wireless network growth and additional applications/devices/use cases that you foresee in the next 3 5 years. 30% 20. Can the equipment used for the Guest Network be refurbished or Grey Market? Must it be TAA compliant? Unknown 21. Can you provide the current in place Air Gap memorandum for understanding? Yes, we have one but it will require updating 22. Are they expecting 24/7 support for guest trying to connect their personal devices to the WIFI? Yes 23. Is the guest wireless network expected to be open with accepting T&Cs, or are you wanting users to be issued temporary authentication certificates per visit?  Do you want users to be issued a password for access per visit? Yes, unless the patient is here long-term and Yes to the password access per visit 24. What is a Motorola system ?     How will it be incorporated into the wireless guest network? Unknown 25. Is a cloud based management system applicable for this network or does it have to be FedRAMP approved? Unknown 26. How much bandwidth are you expecting from the ISP circuit? Unknown 27. In order to ensure that we can mitigate wireless interference (as much as possible), what is the current wireless network in place at the location?   Does it have auto-adjust features enabled? Cisco, Unknown 28. Can you clarify if you are looking for support after hours, holidays, etc? Do you have any SLA's or response time preferences for afterhours support? After hours support yes, SLA preference unknown at this time 29. Is a security clearance required, such as SECRET. N/A 30. Do you required a warranty on the installed equipment? Yes 31. Do you already own the equipment in the equipment list or are we expected to procure these items? Unknown 32. What is the F7728Tp item in your equipment list? Unknown 33. Are we using the equipment you currently have in place to implement the ISP or are we required to provide an ISP design (Hardware, etc)? Yes, please provide your own hardware 34. Is there any fiber in place from MDF to IDF or any of the data closets? Yes, however approval of use is required 35. What level of support is required? 24x7, on call, etc? 24x7 36. Can you provide a diagram of the switch locations as it's difficult to understand distance runs, etc currently. Attached 37. For clarity, access is only required for the first and second floors? Yes 38. Can you depict/describe where the MDFs and IDFs are located by closet location (room number) and estimated the distance between each run? Yes 39. Assuming the switches on your list are already in place, can you explain the numbering schema and identify which switch is located where by location on a diagram? Additionally, if in place, are they being used or dedicated to this contract use? This needs clarification as it relates to page 3 para 6 that says routers and switches are already in the building...we need to know what type routers, will it be used for the ISP, do we have access to them or are we adding routers as needed for this contract? Yes, doesn t apply as the contractor will provide their own equipment, this is separate from the VA network so the contractor will need to add their own router. 40. Looking at page 3 para (1), it is unclear if we are installing ONLY the Internet service or ISP and Wireless Access Points (WAPs) as well. Can you please clarify? It says there are WAPs in the celling already, so unsure if we're installing additional WAPs or ONLY using what's in place. Both ISP and WAP is expected to be installed, installation of WAPs is up to the contractor 41. Can you provide the physical address of Bldg. 7 and identify where which side of the bldg. the ISP will terminate services (identify the Demarc point if possible)? 1030 Jefferson Ave, Memphis TN 38104 42. Page 3 para. 6, please explain what low and high calls mean? Additionally, what does the 15-20 average time mean? Unknown 43. For page 3 para 8, is this equipment available to use for the proposed standalone network or leave it alone? Please expand on this statement because it's unclear It s up to the contractor. 44. Page 4 para 21, are we installing any needed access points or only providing technical support for the WAPs currently in place? Installation is dependent upon the contractor 45. The equipment list listed 5 Switches Only. Are there any additional access points? What are the quantities, makes and models of all access points on the network? Cisco Access Points, TBD by the site visit if additional access points are needed. 46. Is there a map of existing WAP locations? Unknown 47. What is the name of the current contractor? American Worrier Networks 48. Which carrier is currently used for the internet circuit? Unknown
