- Description
- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Project Title: IPC 2018 Information Awareness Training Announcement No.: 18-236-SOL-00021 The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to the Profound Knowledge Partners, Inc. for the Indian Health Service (IHS) Improving Patient Care (IPC) of American Indian and Alaskan Native (AI/AN) people for training and technical assistance for the National IPC staff and Quality Resource Team members. Quality Improvement is a priority of the IHS agency. Currently the IHS healthcare system lacks the capability in science and improvement knowledge and skills to provide technical assistance and training for ambulatory facility care teams. The training and technical assistance services will provide the members with Subject Matter expertise as Improvement Advisors (IA). The IA's will assist care teams from Indian Health Service, Tribal and Urban (I/T/U) facilities in attaining Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) designation and implement quality improvement efforts for the agency using quality improvement science training. The period of performance for this effort will be four months of 2018. This sole source contracting action is being pursued under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposal/quotation. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of the Indian Health Service. Questions or comments to this Notice of Intent should be directed to Contract Specialist, Melani Hainesworth at melani.hainesworth@ihs.gov via e-mail only (no phone calls/voice mail messages regarding questions will not be accepted and will not receive a response). Please indicate in the subject of your email: Notice of Intent Question Submission - 18-236-SOL-00021.
