THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT TO 36C25618Q0315 IS QUESTIONS & ANSWERS Questions & Answers How many past performance questionnaire is required? 3 Do the past performance questionnaire need to be sent directly to you from the individual completing it or can it be sent with the RFQ submittal? Sent as a separate attachment with the RFQ- quote. What is the budget for this project? At this time a budget is not a consideration. When do you anticipate awarding this? In the coming days. What is the due time? February 20, 2018 at 12PM CST The solicitation originally came out as 36C25618Q9128 but now the solicitation that came out last with the most up to date info shows to be 36C25618Q0315.   The first solicitation needs to be deleted. First number is the RFI number and the Second number is the RFQ number. Each number is a stand-alone document. PLEASE USE: RFQ-36C25618Q0315 on your quote The carpet was put down over the old vinyl tile which I believe will have asbestos mastic that will have to be abated.   The abatement will be another cost the library funds will have to pick up.   VA needs to have this tested to make sure it is hot.   If it comes back hot the contractor that will do the abatement will have to send in test info and it will take 10 days from the date the state gets the information before they issue a NOI so that the contractor can start work.   This looks to be a 4 to 5 day job for the abatement plus the 10 day waiting period.   Everyone needs to know that the VA now requires the contractor that does the air monitoring before the job starts and after the abatement is done now they will be required to monitor it every day. CAVHS Library on the 7th floor, LR, AR do not have asbestos. The contracting officer has the Lead & Asbestos Summary Report. It was mentioned both ways at the walk through about moving the shelves to put new carpet underneath.   If there is asbestos the there is no question that there will be new carpet because everything will have to be moved in order to abate. The VA needs to come up with space large enough for everything that is in the library to be stored in for the abatement and for the laying of new carpet squares. No asbestos, the VA will have a designated area available. Need to also know if any of the offices are to get new carpet tile.   Drawing shows one office but if you add that sf in it make the total go over the amount shown to bid. Not at this time. On the next addenda would you provide a copy of the sign in sheet. No. For all the time needed for a test report on asbestos a new bid date is needed for this project. No asbestos Will the additional two (2) offices need to be included into our quote, If so will the Square footage be provided? Not at this time. Are we required to move the bookcases to carpet under them? The VA will move the bookcases. Will the under lying tile floor be tested for Asbestos? If so will there be an extension for this Solicitation? No asbestos All other terms and conditions shall remain unchanged.
