Description

SLAC National Lab seeking Sources for the demolition and construction work for B034 to upgrade two (2) AHU units on the south exterior of the building. Work includes the removal of two (2) existing units, with inline return fans and all related trim and all exterior ductwork. Removal of Cooling Tower Water Supply and Return piping as well as Hot Water Supply and Return piping back to the existing AHU coils to accommodate the new Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) AHU units. This piping will be demolished back to the main and capped. Work also includes the installation of one (1) new OFCI 40-ton water cooled unit and one (1) OFCI 30-ton water cooled unit onto existing concrete pads. Both AHU’s will be purchased by SLAC prior to Construction project. New supply and return ducts shall be provided and connected to existing ductwork in the building. VAV boxes and supply grilles shall be rebalanced as shown on plans. Controls are to be upgraded to DDC controls.
